By using this website or providing your details to us, you agree to the handling of your personal information as described below.

1. The personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Contact details — your name, mobile number and email address.
• Accident and vehicle details — your postcode/location, vehicle registration, make and model, whether the accident was your fault, and other details about your accident, vehicle and circumstances that you provide to us by phone, online or in person.
• Hire and identity information — where you proceed with a replacement vehicle, information needed to enter and manage a credit hire agreement (for example, licence details and information required to verify your identity and eligibility).
• Technical and usage data — when you visit the site we may automatically collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, referring source, and similar analytics data through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we collect it

We collect most personal information directly from you — when you complete a form on this site, call us, or communicate with us. We also collect technical data automatically through cookies and analytics tools, and we may receive information from third parties involved in your claim (such as insurers, repairers, assessors or your legal representatives) where relevant to providing our service.

3. Why we collect and use it

We use your personal information to:

• assess whether you are eligible for a replacement vehicle;
• provide and deliver a like-for-like replacement vehicle;
• enter into and administer a credit hire agreement with you;
• recover the reasonable hire and related costs from the at-fault driver’s insurer;
• contact you about your enquiry, your hire and related matters;
• operate, secure, maintain and improve our website and services;
• measure the performance of our advertising; and
• meet our legal, regulatory and insurance obligations.

We only contact you in connection with your enquiry and your claim — we do not send unrelated marketing — and we do not use automated decision-making to make decisions about you.

4. Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking, to understand how the site is used and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These tools may set cookies and collect usage data as described in Google’s own privacy and cookie terms. We also display customer reviews sourced from Google; your use of those features is subject to Google’s terms. You can control or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. We do not use cookies for third-party marketing or to build advertising profiles of you.

5. When we disclose your information

We may disclose your personal information to:

• the at-fault driver’s insurer and their agents, in order to recover the hire cost;
• repairers, assessors, recovery and credit hire agents, and legal representatives involved in your claim;
• our service providers — including our website hosting and database providers (for example, Vercel and Supabase) and our analytics and advertising providers (for example, Google);
• other parties where you have consented, or where we are required or authorised to do so by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Overseas disclosure

Your enquiry and lead data is stored in Australia (our database is hosted in Sydney). Some service providers may process limited information overseas — for example our email provider (SendGrid, United States) and Google’s analytics and advertising services (United States). Where information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.

7. Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it: for enquiries that don’t proceed we generally destroy or de-identify it within 24 months; where you proceed with a hire or claim we retain the relevant records for up to 7 years after the matter concludes, consistent with limitation periods in Western Australia and our tax and record-keeping obligations. After that we destroy or de-identify the information.

8. Accessing and correcting your information

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before actioning your request.

9. Complaints

If you have a concern or complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
