If you’ve had an accident that wasn’t your fault, you may be entitled to a like-for-like replacement vehicle while your car is repaired or replaced — at no upfront cost to you.

How eligibility works

• The accident was not your fault (or mostly not your fault).
• The at-fault driver can be identified and is insured.
• You need a replacement vehicle while yours is off the road.

What “no upfront cost” means

This is a credit hire arrangement. You sign a simple agreement for a reasonable, like-for-like vehicle and a reasonable hire period, and we recover the hire cost from the at-fault driver’s insurer. You have a duty to keep the hire reasonable (the duty to mitigate). If liability is disputed, we’ll explain what happens next.
